Even my store bought North Water tow system came with a biner. It functions perfectly with one hand. After a few years of abuse it still looks new. Make sure you can use all this stuff with your paddling gloves on. I never, ever thought I would use a tow rope. I have used it three times. Once in a critical situation. Twice to get inexperienced paddlers in rec boats home after a long paddle.
