Hi,

first time poster...

I use a self made solid paddle float, a garden
knee pad (foam) with a pair of bungees. Cost less
than 5 $, works great, I learned to roll with it.
Stored behind the seat of my P+H Vela.

The inflatables I've seen were too fragile.

The kind I use (like http://www.asv-versand.de/bilder/produkte/cd0079.jpg)
has the advantage of open compartments which fill with
water when in use, so if you re-enter and get too much
on the other side, you have a sort of counterbalance.
