[Paddlewise] Ruddered boat recommendations

I'm looking for recommendations for a boat with a rudder, and a day hatch,
that handles well in rough conditions, and is fast.  For the past several
years I've been paddling an NDK Explorer - I'd like something faster, with a
rudder since I'd like to have an easier time with my Pacific Action Sail.  I
love the way the Explorer handles in surf and choppy seas, so I don't want
to give that up.  

Right now, the boat I'm most interested in is the Mirage, produced in
Australia (many thanks to Peter O for his thorough review of that).  The
other boat I thought seriously about was the QCC 600, but really don't want
to give up the day hatch, and I'm not as certain about that boat's handling
in rough water.  

Any other recommendations much appreciated.
