I am closing in on my 3rd 1000 Nm paddling year. Right now I am at 922 Nm and counting. I started thinking about setting a goal for next year and I kind of like the idea of trying to reach a "notable" milestone. After reading a little about Verlen Kruger, Ed Gillet, Chris Duff, and Steph Dutton it seems to me that 5000 Nm for the year would be a "world class" goal. That is almost certainly more than I am capable of doing. What kind of yearly mileage would you paddler's out there consider a "notable" accomplishment. Mark J.
