I want to say thank you to all of you who have written letters to the superintendent of the Channel Islands National Park (CINP) requesting a water trail. I had no idea that hundreds of people had taken the time to write a letter. What wonderful support from the kayaking community! Word has it that a water trail is now part of the CINP manegement plan, and that the trail will be created if we continue to support it. Unfortunately the creation of the water trail may take a few more years. But the first steps have been taken to making it become a reality. I'm looking forward to the day when we get the opportunity to paddle and camp along the water trail that we helped to create at Santa Cruz Island, Santa Rosa Island, and Anacapa Island.
