I suspect they spent very little time in the water. Lucky the chopper was nearby. a typical response time if they have to scramble the helo from Port Angeles and fly to Bellingham would be more like 45 minutes to an hour, I think. We are having a high-end series of winter storms right now, along with three climbers missing high on Mt.
