This is the third storm this week. No night storm paddling for this dude though, as my cardiologist absolutely irrevocably forbade me paddling a couple of weeks ago. Seems it's been blowing bad on and off since November, with snow and sub-freezing weather too.And some big swell. Lots and lots of tree damage and folks without power for days on end. Must have sold $20,00000.00 worth of generators at my evening job at the big-box hardware store. Lost most of my Cherry tree. No blooming good, man. I don't have any inside info on the Bellingham incident. We did have a BC ferry turn back to find "someone swimming in the water" as reported by a passenger. Turned out to be kayakers - their heads only visible above the unruly waves. They declined assistance. Hey, hey. I did get my old roof racks on my "new" Safari van this week, and an upscale Pioneer/Infinity sound system with full alarm installed and will be also installing running boards next week for easier kayak tie-down access. That's if I survive my wife's witch hunt for an unthrifty spending-spree spouse. I will be back on the water one day. My ride's ready at least. And there will always be more storms. Be safe.
