the Misourri River 340 Race which took place in August 2006:

The most exciting paddling on Missouri was during nights. How to 
photograph a river at night?

This year race from Kansas City to St Charles will go under full moon 
from July 24 to 28 
(see http://rivermiles.com). I am not sure yet which boat to paddle but 
a camera stays the same
