After two weeks of cold dismal rainy weather, we got a couple of breaks for sunshine. Here are the pictures of our paddle Sunday launching from Ingleside public boat ramp and paddling around LaQuinta Island (9 miles, 2 hrs) to see the new Anakonda Oil rig under construction. Impressive...but not nearly as large as the previous Thunderhorse Rig that went into the Gulf and was damaged by Huricane Katrina.
