Nick Schade set up the original Kayakwiki and ran it for years. There were problems with spam, so I took it over and moved it to a new, spamproofed platform (Mediawiki, same software as Wikipedia). I host it on a server right here next to me - soon to be transferred to a new server (just constructed but still not fully configured), also right next to me. There are two 'sysops" - myself and Harry Wood. I moderate mostly sea kayaking stuff and he, a British WW enthusiast, handles mostly WW. However, we overlap a lot on what we look at. I initially looked at the wiki definition of flatwater and didn't like it so I decided not to post it here. If someone wants to clean it up, they are welcome. There are a lot of pages that could be cleaned and improved, but yours truly doesn't have the time to do it all.
