Hello Everyone, I have been very busy this last year and didn't have the time to re-subscribe. When I was down in Oregon several months ago I purchased a Magellan GPS, without sales tax I might add. Gotta like shopping in Oregon. Anyway, when I tried to synchronize the GPS with my laptop I couldn't get the two to really communicate. Has anyone out there have any experience with Magellan GPS units? Any help would be appreciated. "Has anyone out there have any experience with Magellan GPS units?" I'm using a Sportrak Color, and recieves the usual servicepacks for my XP pc's. I use clients certified for use with Windows XP and with serial connection for up and download. Then suddenly I couldn't connect to BlueNav or Streets map. The program started but hang during initialization. Magellan support was not able to give any explanation apart from advising a reinstallation, and I reinstalled the software several times. On some of my pc's I could make the connection work, and on some not. Now I'm using a specific pc for the up and downloads. Magellan seems uninterested in updating problematic old software even though they are still selling it on some markets.
