How about this.... Anyone that thinks their love of the sea will be returned, is on track for a major attitude re-adjustment. In answer to the original question... I wouldn't feel anything. I'd be dead. Though I understand the need by some for the sentiment, I've never been comfortable with "at least he/she died doing what he/she enjoyed." I would never feel comfortable using this conflicted observation.
