	Here's some vicarious paddling for those of you who are
ice-bound, or just plain curious about one of the premier paddling sites
in Texas.  This is a trip I was on two weeks ago.  Can't deny my
kayaking heritage, here I am again with a kayak paddle in a purple
canoe.  Terry Burgess took the photos.  Some of my favorites are on page
8 where you see the little "crack" in the mesa, that is in fact the
Santa Elena Canyon that we paddled through later.
