This one belonged to a rural fire department, and it appeared to be in reasonable condition. One of the seams was gone and required repair. Although this suit would be a wise thing to have onboard a vessel intended for offshore, this suit would be useless for a kayak. It was simply too bulky and stiff. On the other hand, if you were on a sinking sailboat, you'd be glad to have it. It would most definitely extend the time before hypothermia sets in. I noticed that the dry suit in the ebay listing came with a fabric liner. If the liner is in decent shape, the liner alone may make the purchase worthwhile.
