The local news channel is running a story about the rescue of two kayakers
that capsized on Lake Washington today. It has been a windy day. One swam to
shore and the other was picked up by the Harbor Patrol. Both went to the
hospital and were treated for mild hypothermia.

In the video it looks like the one fellow on the dock walking to the 
ambulance was wearing Addidas track pants. Conditions didn't look beyond a 
paddlefloat rescue, let alone an assisted rescue.

Hey, in the old days a wayward paddler occasionally made the news on the 
radio, sometimes a short blurb in the paper; more recently a news crew might 
come down to the dock or beach - and now they have full aerial videos.
