I admit I chickened out on this wave, which was foolish, as I'm sure I could have taken it. It was an overcast day though, which always gets me nervous for some reason and a couple friends had warned me about rough conditions right before I headed out of the jetty. Definitely a case of mind games. My club thinks I swim too much; little do they know I feel more comfortable out of the boat!
