[Paddlewise] Skin on Frame Workshop

I recently did a 9-day kayak-building workshop with Mark Rogers (Superior
Kayaks) and I invite interested list members to contact me offline
(tfj4_at_comcast.net) if they would like any first-hand feedback on the
experience of building your own skin-on-frame kayak under a little expert
supervision.  Mark is in Wisconsin and I understand there are a handful of
similar workshops around the country run by others.  If you are interested
in "Greenland techniques," or are just in the market for a boat that you
will build to your body specifications, I highly recommend investigating
such a workshop.  It was really interesting and now my skin-on-frame is
waiting for the final coating and curing in my garage; I can't wait to
paddle it.  I have no affiliation with Mark or with Superior Kayaks other
than being a very satisfied alumnus.
