I agree it is good to practice use of the VHF for emergencies.  I've 
handled one minor emergency via VHF on Vancouver Island, and it was good to 
have listened extensively to CG/boater interactions in my home waters.  It 
increased my comfort level for doing my own CG/paddler transmissions.

However, I find the content of the above exchange more of a violation of a 
private moment than instructional.  I think it is more voyeuristic than 
helpful.  In short, for my tastes, I think it would be better to leave it 
off the blog ... if Adam is reading this.

When someone dies, it is time to back off and let it go.  I think I am 
probably "old school," and not ready for "new school," if this clip is it.
