In short we're two very pleased customers :-)!

Primary importance is a warm head and warm hands, in addition to
a warm torso - we have, after a lot of trial (using neoprene gloves)
switched to Goretex-lined, waterproof, motorbike winter gloves - 
fantastic improvement over neoprenes. If you end up in the water
they get a little soggy, but still better than any neoprenes I've tried!

When the weather is cold we use Musto fleece caps (no longer in 
production, as far as I can tell from their website).
