Just returned from a 10 day trip to the Ocala National Forest in Florida.
Paddled on the Silver River to Silver Springs, Juniper Springs and Creek, and
the upper and lower Oklawaha River. It was easily the most beautiful kayak
trip I have ever taken, and we saw a great abundance of wildlife....everything
but Tarzan.

Very clean and inexpensive campgrounds. Great weather with no bugs. Pics at

Jeez, even monkeys... Like some Brazil... I was thinking of my 15 ft
foldable kayak (can't fly with a fiberglass one), but have got impression
that these waterways are short trips (1-2 days each) with 1 or 2 hour drive
between them. So, having car is a must. No bugs, you say? What happened to
them ? :-) ...
