Well South Texas has finally gotten its perfect paddling weather. Air Temp 91 degF - For comfort you have to get out in that "cool" sunrise air when its 82-85 degF. Heat Index 105 degF - Depleted batteries on pump just getting the sweat out of the cockpit. "Sauna! Sauna!. We don't need no stinking sauna". Water Temp 82 degF - Great opportunity to practice the rarely used "rotorary warming" techniques Winds 25 mph stead gusts 33 mph - Think gentle cooling breezes coming out of the blast furnace. I love South Texas (especially Oct to April) but I am starting to dream about Georgian Bay a little early this year. Mark J.
