One of the more economically creative paddlers in our area used to paddle in a Tyvek (at least I think he said Tyvek) suit made for painters. They were supposed to be disposable so were relatively cheap. I am sure there were durability issues, but he said he always was comfortable and dry. I never tried it. Mark J.
