Appauling that they didn't have dry suits, or something similar, in such 
cold waters! And warm caps, and warm gloves! And it seem the poor guy
(my age) didn't have his PFD on when he was found!

On the to-bring-with-us list I would have added basic emergency gear, like 
flares, but clothing comes first and foremost!
