Well, first of all this has no place on Paddlewise. Secondly, it's not true. According to www.snopes.com (a repository of urban myths and legends) it's been variosly attributed to Al Gore or one of the Clintons. Their example is almost word for word like the one you sent out without checking: go to http://www.snopes.com/politics/clintons/thief.aspAnd they have another example aimed at Tipper Gore. Doesn't take much to determine the veracity of these.
