That is hard to say.  Depends on the service, particularly exposure to UV 
(e.g., sunlight).  The punch test is the best -- it will not penetrate the 
boat (and, so what if it does -- you save some unsuspecting person from 
buying an unsafe craft), but it will tell you the degree of flexibility 
left in the hull.
