[Paddlewise] Lake Winni

      I don't know how things work where you live, but in Oregon a powerboater
whipping around Lake Winni at 1 am is probably drunk or stoned or both.
Cognito Ergo Sumowrestler: you don't want to be on the same body of water
as that speedster, no matter how well lit up your kayak. My inclination
would be to paddle near shore in water too shallow for that machine head.
If you have to, beach it before he runs you over. Better yet, be in bed
by 10:30 pm.
