[Paddlewise] Navy chopper rescues two kayakers at sea

Need to "register" but only requires zip code, DOB, MorF.  I tried to 
find more on this (other articles) but nothing else turned up on a 
news.google search.

The kayakers had a bottle of water, some food rations, a cell phone and 
a Global Positioning System with dead batteries, the Navy press release 
said.

"We were conducting training operations in an area in which we almost 
never go," said co-pilot Lt. Gainey Maxwell, who was participating in 
his first search-and-rescue training, which became a real-life scenario. 
"Needless to say, those men are extremely lucky."
