This would be an interesting trip but I don't think I'd have chosen the kayaks they chose to paddle it. Looking at the specs they seem more like fishing kayaks than ocean touring kayaks (or surfing kayaks - which is what they did a lot of but not on purpose). Nor do I think I'd have taken a Leica camara along! I'd be interested in what some of the s. calif contingent has to say about this trip.
