[Paddlewise] Joe O'Blenis breaks Vancouver Island record

I just heard that Joe has completed his record-breaking solo 
circumnavigation of Vancouver Island - 23 days and 10 hours breaking 
the previous record of 28 days.

We ran into him on our west coast trip at Carmanah point and I ran 
into him a couple of days later on Vargas (where I had gone salmon 
fishing). He had just finished a 58 km day - probably his worst of 
the trip and he was a tad tired!
