It is clear to me that, given time, everything comes around over again as NEW STUFF after the old practitioners that might take credit have gone over the horizon. In my case, after I am gone, someone will discover that there are advantages in using longer paddlers. They will be grandly lauded! Until then, long paddles are the worst in the world of paddling. Now about that Baidarka Stern! The Baidarka stern on my Mariner Sprite has allowed me to not require a rudder or skeg for about 20 years. Doesn't count, I know! Someone must DISCOVER this attribute of design anew, and claim credit for the New Discovery!
