Photos are wonderful indeed. Yes, it does look like north, - patches of snow are so low on the mountains. One thing is good - they didn't have a cold night on that July 7/8 trip, - no nights there in July... OTH, days were not too hot either, if "20 grader" is 20C (52F?), and with some wind... The most amazing thing, though, is that wooden church, built 160 years ago. My condo is less than 30 years old, and I don't think it will last another 30 years. Introducing cheap plywood and particle boards in construction has been somebody's ingeniously mischievous act, as I can see now. > For those rusty in Norwegian geography, it is in the far north, 69.40 North, > 18.58 East. It is a place with midnight sun (in some parts of the year). > > The commentary is in Norwegian, but here the pictures really says it all. > Even to us Scandinavian, Tromsx is a somewhat out of the way. > > Enjoy: http://www.ryggsekk.net/turer/kajakkturer.htm *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
