That's a good one, John.  It is new to me.  Thanks for the assist when I 
use my wing paddle.  I like BP for its lusty thrust, but the Jeannie C 
really touches some of the soulful aspects of paddling.

Another Stan Rogers tune that fits the loss associated with seafaring is 
his "The Lockkeeper," which I have never heard sung by Rogers.  However, 
John Gorka has a very soulful version out now (scroll down for a shot):

Gorka's newest release, at least for me.
