[Paddlewise] Long paddles

In response to Kaspers' comments, I've used long un-feathered West Greenland
styled paddles for years. I also carry a ultra short back up paddle as well
in the same style which is very labor intensive. One does get used to what
you use but I find this style and dimension easy on the wrists and shoulders
hour after hour plus the rolling leverage is great and due to the slim blade
isn't affected by wind much. I apologize if I'm repeating comments on someone
else thread but I haven't had access to the whole discussion.

I also put a great deal of pressure on mussels....I eat the little guys as
often as possible, raw or in a white wine sauce.

Kevin
