Well, I take a break from renovating and dealing with PH monitoring tubes
down my esophageal passagway for a minute here to chime in on this one: I
too have been thinking about a GP for all the reasons listed previously.
It'll be hard giving up my Euro paddles though. I have a big-bladed Lendel
plastic/resin Nordkapp - awesome for big hydraulics, a narrower
plastic/resin Lendel Archipelago for touring, and an Archipelago
carbon-fiber for fitness paddling. During my long-distance touring phase of
my paddling life where I was experiencing intrinsic, chronic shoulder pain,
I bought an Aquabound AMT carbon Seafarer in a _soft dihedral_
specification. Don't discount Euro paddles completely, as there are many
more configurations than mainstream suggests. Like Duane's done, I'll
probably be making my next paddle.
