Not so much a paddling story, but if you want *warm*, you could try 
finding some live wires and start stripping the insulation off. It'll 
warm ya right up, for a second or two...

OK, paddling... I'm in the middle of a significant effort to produce 
topo maps for most of the coast of Newfoundland, in the format one 
can load onto a Garmin GPS. There's a group of four of us who'll be 
heading out that way in June, looking for whales, icebergs (and wild 
women!)
