I've been doing caves and arches and surge channels like that solo for over 25 years, in a fully loaded sea kayak often. Not dead yet. My kayak, however, is another story. My last stern-going endo ripped apart my VCP rudder and split the rear keel line of the hull. Should have made the kayak even heavier...or not added the rudder which weakened the stern...then again, I smashed the stern up badly north of Tofino along the seal-cave coast when I 180'ed in a surge channel 25 years ago leading me to finish off the amputation and install the dammed rudder when I got back home. Next life I'm just gonna buy 10 Nordkapp plastic kayaks and pull one out for new use every third season. DL > Some nice video on that site. I want to get me one of those bullet cams.
