There is a trapped paddler rescue (also known as the hand of God) when a
paddler could not wet exit. I have actually used this rescue once on a river
and seen it used by a friend when a person panicked trying to wet exit.
Personally I practice this, in addition to other rescue, several times a year.
Please refer to the following link for a description of this and other rescues.

While brushing up on rescue techniques and practice I started wondering how
on earth one could rescue someone who had flipped and was unconscious?

Can anyone provide references or advice?

All the best, PeterO
