I've gone through them all; they look very practical and build on each other nicely with John Martin's page providing a neat summary of the methods, as well as what looks like an optimal solution to my problem. We've got a trick roll session coming up week after next so I'm guessing there will be plenty of opportunity to practice the scoop, hand of God and bow roll. Thanks again and all the best, PeterO *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s). During a game of kayak football I caught a touchdown pass and went over. I wedged the ball in my mouth and tried to roll. If you let go of the ball the touchdown doesnt count. Every time I started around I was pulled back down somehow. This happened a few times and I finally, begrudgingly, gave up and tapped the hull with both hands. It turned out a friend was trying to do the hand of God and had been pulling on the shoulder strap of my PFD in the opposite direction of my roll the whole time!
