The weather was a perfect 10 for paddling and ushering in the new month of March on its first day here in southeast Texas. Thankfully I was able to maximize exposure to the day by dusting off the olde sea kayak and off I went with two other like-minded souls on Armand Bayou. One of our number is brand new to the area and requested gator-sightings, and boy, did we ever deliver! These are more alligator photos than I've ever been able to take, and on top of that we had cooperative roseate spoonbills (birds) and even the black vultures. Temps were in the 70s; blue skies and sunshine, it hardly gets better.
