[Paddlewise] Mukluks (was Into The Mystic (was Mariner Max for sale))

Obviously regular wet suit booties are the way to go for minimal water
entry. I have a still-bothersome skin graft/missing thick-tissue area above
the ankle that necessitates mukluks. The regular ones were awesome in my
confined Nordkapp, but I felt filled up with a little too much water (in my
opinion and experience). Now in a boat with a bit more volume, I've gone to
the Quicklace mukluks, though the MEC mukluks would have been cheaper, as
the NRS ones too. Neither have the laceups though, which I feel have better
support and obviously reduce water entry. How much more I don't know, but
I'll be finding out soon.

Off season I dress more for immersion longer time and colder water, so the
difference between summer attire and winter attire and corresponding reenter
times nullify each other to some extent. I do find swimming with even a bit
of water in the mukluks does add significantly to cramping and decreasing
swim speed. Water weights a lot or something.
