Hi Everyone, This past weekend Jon Dawkins posted a report on West Coast Paddlers convering his trip into what they call the "central BC coast" (but seems northern to me) that is a remarkable example of how well the Internet allows in-depth stories with lots of photographs and illustrations. Jon's report of his trip with two friends is a must-read if you had ever even remotely considered such a trip. I called it an "expedition" because of the length and the remote area but it's really the sort of paddle that's well within reach of many of us. Jon's report is so detailed, with charts and descriptions of routes and campsites, that it would serve well as a planning guide for people who don't have the detailed knowledge of the area. It seems to me that it could be broken into a shorter trip, too. Highly recommended. Since Jon posted his report to WCN, I'm only giving that link here. There is a link to a web page (and another link to his photo album) in his posting. http://www.westcoastpaddler.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=1991 Craig Jungers Moses Lake, WA *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
