I just finished watching the movie Atanarjuat - The Fast Runner, which is taken from an Inuit legend 1000 years ago or so. Spoken all in Inuktitut, there is a very very short kayak scene in Chapter 10. This location of the legend and the movie is Igloolik, Canada (north of Hudson Bay). I've attached a link to a screen shot I took of the kayak. Although not real clear, it was the best shot possible in the film.
