Paul... while you're at Camano - and especially if you're on the western shore of Camano - paddle across the water and into Holmes Harbor on Whidbey Island. There is a cool island right at the tip of the peninsula that extends north from Freeland. You can also paddle down the eastern side of Whidbey Island to Langley which has a small harbor and a sand beach right in town. Langley is a cool town with lots of shops and flowers and history. Our island lot is only 3 miles north of Freeland on the eastern shore of Holmes Harbor (Beverly Beach). I've never paddled there before.
