A group of us (4) will be heading up to Winter Harbour BC for a trip around the Brooks peninsula (weather permitting) later this week. Can anyone recommend a place near Winter Harbour where we could pitch our tents the evening before our launch? The only campground I found mentioned (Kwaksistah) may only be for RV's. If no tent campgrounds, can anyone recommend lodging in the area? Thanks in advance. It's not the softest ground you'll camp on but it's close to the water and has a boat ramp you can use to launch from. I stoppped there during a Quadra Island to Port renfrew paddle in 06. It's called the Kwaksistah Campsite. I'll send you a Winter Harbour map.
