[Paddlewise] A home for drafting tools

Kayak building spawns unexpected things. Case in point: I need
drawing tools. Where the hell are they?! I need to make a box to put
them in. 35+ years of drawing pencils, drafting equipment, paper, etc
etc are scattered in the corners of my apartment. They need a place
they can call "Home".

They now have a place. As time goes on, other tools are found and
begin the migration to the new space.

The drafting case is a sort of desktop computer. As I use it I learn
what its needs are. The hardware is cheap but will be replaced as I
learn where it needs to be located and what functions and looks nice.

This project elicits the same responses I get from everything I make.
"You can patent this", and "You could sell these". This seems to be
the only thing Americans can think about now. Our minds have sunk
into a cultural gutter. In Japan people would have gone right to work
analyzing the corners, construction, and function. They would have
compared it to things in their not so distant past.

When looking at old blue prints (of anything) they look more and more
like artwork to us.The world seems to have gone digital gaga and we
are losing our ability to draw even the simplest of shapes.
