I think we should disqualify anyone who has a website-cum-museum. On the
other hand, it *is* an obsession and that should fall under the rules.
Perhaps we should have categories. Kayaks one has built personally; kayaks
built by someone else; commercially built kayaks; museum pieces; etc. I have
to admit that I have not built any of my kayaks but I did build the 32-foot
sailboat. I think that cured me.

My brother-in-law still has 20-something kayaks and that doesn't count the
ones he's given away or had stolen. I'm sure that for anyone who claims the
record there will surely be someone who has more. It's just the nature of
humankind to collect pretty things.
