I'm thinking of replacing my wife's Nordkapp HM with a Fenn Mako XT, or
Think Evo (http://www.thinkkayaks.com/evo.html or
http://www.oceanpaddlesports.com/site/index.php/Surfskis/product_detail/mako_xt/)

I'm out of the loop on sea kayak stuff locally and was wondering if
people in New England had suggestions on where to sell a boat. I looked
at the nspn (http://www.nspn.org) classified pages and they looks
quiet...

The other challenge is pricing. Any guesses on suggested price for a
Nordkapp HM in good shape (stored indoors), I fully realize this is the
epitome of love it or hate it cult boats - my wife loved it, but she
want's a lighter weight boat - the Nordkapp is about 50 pounds.

You didn't say what year. Usually $900.00 to $1300.00 - more if good shape
and bigger hatches.

Kirk, I though 50 pounds was light:-)

I was eying up the Valley Rapier:

Sean Morely will be circumnavigating Vancouver Island in the Rapier, in
September after the west coast kayak symposium. September is usually the
most boring month for lumpy weather; he should make good speed, if he gets
the west coast done first as it is a late September start.

He's a Valley dealer; I expect we will see more Valley kayaks showing up in
paddler's quivers.
