I was sitting on the sofa at 10am on Labor Day waiting for the temperature in central Washington to get to 70F so I could finish some varnish work on the muthah-ship and watching "I Love Lucy" reruns on the telly when I remembered that Gordin Warner's trip around the Isla of Man for the Canadian Cancer Society should be completed about now. So I clicked on the bookmark for Gordin's blogspot (http://victoriakayaker.blogspot.com/) and started reading. At some point I decided to follow his trip with Google Earth which has better detail of the Isle of Man than it does of my neighborhood in Moses Lake. Jeez! Gordin's account of the trip and the views of the island are well worth reading if you, like me, are temporarily sofa-bound. It's almost 67F (seriously cool temps for the desert of Washington State on September 1st) and I can wander over to the shop in a few minutes. Highly recommended.
