I got to see the T.I.T.S. 4 premier down in San Diego a while back and can say I really enjoyed it. I told Justine she inspired me to make my video and gave her a CD of some of them. Watchin' people playin' around in the water is just a whole lotta fun for me. The Chicagoland area was lucky enough to get a viewing of the premier when Geneva Kayak Center sponsored a showing last Friday. I don't enjoy watching other people do what I want to be doing, so I had never seen one of Justine's videos. This sampler was really good - it showed a few places I have been. Which brought the whole "I want to be doing this, not watching it!" thing again. It left me wanting to see more, though. I used to teach WW paddling on the Ottawa River, so it was a hoot to watch people running it in sea kayaks. Sort of weird to run a premier whitewater river in boats that make surfing and playing impossible. But enjoyable to see, nonetheless, in an odd way. Justine's introductory talk to the video was interesting as well. A great evening, not to be missed!
