[Paddlewise] Happy Thanksgiving

A big happy Thanksgiving to all our American Paddlewisers. You still have a 
great nation; there are those of us in Canada who still love you. :-) 
Strength, courage, hope and love to you all.

I do hope things improve for your country...and the world. And there is 
still a lot to be thankful for everywhere. Still reason for hope.

Come up and paddle here anytime you need a retreat.. Except Dave...he needs 
to leave room for other Americans to visit. LOL

I'm not getting much paddling in right now - between hardcore boats and 
re-evaluating risk assessment. Just something a guy neede to do once in 
ahile. I'll get back into some serious paddling again but right now, just 
taking a break from the rough stuff (my rough stuff is a bit more textured 
than perhaps the usual). Have camera, will record the action, sometime.

Thought the Sir Francis Drake prayer might be a good one for the USA right 
now (a bit religious sorry), and maybe this often wayward Kanuk kayaker too:

Disturb us, Lord, when
We are too pleased with ourselves,
When our dreams have come true
Because we dreamed too little,
When we arrived safely
Because we sailed too close to the shore.
Disturb us, Lord, when
with the abundance of things we possess
We have lost our thirst
For the waters of life;
